Damn technology.
Jun. 29th, 2004 12:49 amOkay. Today's been good up until a few mins ago where I went to go check my cell phone. I've been charging it all day, but when I went to go check it to see if I missed any calls, it wouldn't work. I tried turning it on, and got nothing. I noticed that the display wasn't cracked, but I can't figure out what's wrong with this.

I've noticed that mine sometimes doesn't start charging when I put it on the cradle; I have to jiggle it a bit. So don't just plug it in and walk away -- wait for it to light up and show its "charging" message. If it persists in not charging (and you've made sure the charger is plugged in to a live outlet) it may need a hard reset, which is done by removing and replacing the battery. (Yes, I've sometimes had to reboot my phone!) Could also be a worn or broken cable on the charger -- maybe a chair rolled over it?
If it charges fully but discharges too quickly, it could be that it's been turning its backlight on (which it will do whenever a key is pressed, even if the keyboard is locked, because it wants to show you the "unlock" message).
I hate phones!
