Wanted: Further Confusion 2005 Panelists & Concert performers

Well, as you know by now: I'm looking for performers in concerts & also panelists. I've got a few ideas for filk-related topics, but not sure how to convey them into words. My ideas are as follows:

• Copyright laws on filking


• How to parody someone else's work


• Filking 101: How to write filk


• Workshop: choosing the right insturment


• Workshop: Accapella or Insturmental backing?


• Workshop: scannage

Panelists to date: Currently, I have convinced mooglepower (thank you ever so much, Ian!!!) to contribute his talent on 2 panels out of X amount of filk-related events.

Concerts to date: mooglepower (Uber thanks again, Ian!!!) is slotted for something on Saturday.

People I've got to thank for helping me with my new game Who Would You Like To See @ Further Confusion 2005?: mooglepower and johno for playing; and camerapup for giving the list a look-over. Heyas, Chaos...

You should definitely talk with wordslinger, a former filker and one who gives copyright talks at conventions.

If you want the cutting edge of information about copyright, parody, and everything else, talk with misseli. (Take a look at her blog (http://edwards.orcas.net/~misseli/blog/) to see just how cutting edge she is on this topic.)

Do you think I could manage to talk to misseli and wordslinger into participating in the abovementioned panels?

Absolutely. wordslinger can work with anyone. I think the difficulty will be in convincing misseli to take part; she's a little shy in front of people.

that convention I mentioned, at the BayCon meeting, that's the same weekend and general location as ours is called "CaliFur" or something like that.
