Yay college registration!

Well, like I mentioned before: De Anza's registration system sucks. Also as I mentioned before, the system didn't pick me up as being registered. However, this changed today.

I went to Coun 100: Introduction to College. Nothing major, right? Part 2, slightly boring. I didn't do anything in the class today, except for talk w/ a few people and draft a plan for the quarter.

Key: M=Monday, T=Tuesday, W=Wednesday, R=Thursday, F=Friday. Hrs=hours ICS=InterCulturalStudies, Astr=Astronamy.

I now have the following classes:
Call #: 0126 Department: Arts Course #: 002D Title: History of Art/Europe & US Credit Hrs: 4 Days: TR Time: 10:30am-12:10pm

Call #: 1374 Department: ICS Course #: 020 Title: Asian American Experience Credit Hrs: 4 Days: TR Time: 1:30pm-3:10pm

Call #: 0218 Department: ASTR Course #: 010 Title: Stellar Astronomy Credit Hrs: 5 Days MTWRF Time: 7:30am-8:20am

Not that bad, could have been much worse. For a late registration, this was the best I could do. *shrug* Guess it's not life threatening after all.

I think you're crazy to be taking a 7:30am course, but I'm sure you'll agree with me on that one.

I told rowanf and, after she picked her jaw up off the floor, her reaction was "this is Chaos we're talking about, right?"

Astronamy tho it is, we're talking I come home after spending a few hours with my friends at school and then I do my chores on mon, wed thur like I'm supposed to.

Wrong, Kyle. Sorry, but you're wrong. I will still be only a freshman and won't have priority until after 41 credits (I think). I have a total of 15 at the moment, if you work out the math. That's not enough to qualify for sophomore level first quarter. There just is no way to do it unless you're grades are through the roof. I'll post on Monday and tell everyone how Astronomy goes.

When did they implement THAT rule? The rule as it was always applied to me (and believe me, I can't even qualify as a sophomore with my current list of credits under my belt) is that if you are a returning student, you get priority over everyone who's entering in during that quarter. You might not get priority over upperclassmen, but since I joined in Winter 2002, I couldn't get into anything that I wanted... then I could in Spring 2002.

More than likely that's the case, but I don't know. The rules are very wierd and I don't know very much about the college system.

Did you double-check your bus connections for the 0730 course? VTA has not impressed me with it's ability to move people outside peak hours.

I'm hoping to show up @ Campus Center around 8:30am or so and possibly at 12:20. Might be interesting for you to meet my gaming club (which will be official soon after I start school...)
