RIP --- John Caspell and other news

Now that I think about it, I did meet him. Once. ohiblather's picture reminded me that I had seen him. At NorWesCon. I went to a little open filking on Friday night, saw tfabris and vixyish and several others, listened to his rendition of a parody of The Girl That's Never Been. I just got off the phone with flower_cat, who told me who he was. I didn't recognize the name, but after seeing the picture of him, I now remember meeting him.

Rest in Peace, Dr. Filk.

In other news: asahoshi took me out to the VW Cruise with her mate J and her son D. I had a blast. I also got a new bed, which means I won't have to sleep on the floor again.

I knew you & John had a concert at Consonance recently, but yeah, she was distracted that weekend.

Well, this year's Consonance was rough on me because I was trying to deal with the fact I was spending my anniversary w/ selkit without him, and his mother was dying at the time.

Last year, very distracted due to wedding. Yes.

Only for 3 out of the 4 weeks I've lived here. The air mattress decided to die after 3 weeks of abuse use. Woke up on the floor last week multiple times in a row --- retired the air mattress and had 1 night on the floor before finally getting the bed; was at a friend's house Saturday and Sunday, so the bed was a welcome addition on Monday.
