sailorv61. Spent most of the morning puttering and doing nothing, as there wasn't anything I could really do until I got out to Seattle. Well...meh. When we got to Vacaville @ ~2245, I pulled out the Oregon map and thought we were there. Notice: Quotes from this road trip will be posted later in pt 2, after I've slept. Vacaville, as I learned right after looking at the map and telling her "I can't find it" is in California. D'oh.
Dinner consisted of food from JITB, and there were a lot of stupid things in addition to blowing the person's hampster that happened during the trip. Again, I'll post when feeling better. I managed to use my credit card to pay for a hotel room on the way (stopped in a quaint little lodge in some city in CA ~0300 Sat morning.) Slept till ~0800. Got up, got back in the car, headed off. Now, to a GPS device, Seattle does NOT equal SeaTac. The address we were given for the hotel where the RF meet was => listed as Seattle. The GPS device said it was SeaTac. Quote series about this later. China. Grr.
Got to BelleFur household shortly after 2000 Sat night. Hung out w/ Lenaire & Ravanwood, talked toselkit, Led & asahoshi before my cell battery totally quit, plugged the phone into a USB port, waited half hour, called CGM. cflute answered, told her I probably wouldn't be in until later on Sunday (I was right.) acrobatty and jenkitty were home when I called and reported that the two people I was driving with aren't from this region, we got semi-lost (shouldn't have taken that left @ Albequerque), and got here ~1730 (I think.) Drew in my sketch book for a bit, played w/ my chain mail for a bit, tried a new flavour of beer, enjoyed the comments of the kids, talked to flower_cat and mdlbear at two different times on the phone, enjoyed massive message-spamming all the people who had wished to be notified of my safe arrival (via text message). Made another phone call to Led. Going to look @ an apartment tomorrow after he's done with school. Hung out with asahoshi for a bit, and her fiancee Jason. Discussed plotting in our story RPG, did chain mail lesson, showed off some of my art. Contemplating getting a DA account, possibly to sell/vendor my stuff from when I have an inventory.
Took melatonin and am now going to pass out, because I need to.
