QOTD: (in #[livejournal.com profile] filkhaven < cw-dig >: Marilisa: The carpet's alive --- spreading like a fungus (started in Emmy's room), Gizmo the Gremlin's been eating my socks, the trash cans are full, I've got a leather curtain type thing covered in con badges, holding the "Welcome Home Chaos!" Party next Wednesday (as a joke, of course), and still have to take out the recycling on top of the washer.
Marilisa: :-)
< cw-dig > OMG. The frisbees have a respawn function. ARGH! *runs*
< Rafe> Spawn again?
< cw-dig> 4 frisbees total.
< cw-dig > Eek! Help! *hides under a cloak of badge ribbons as a 5th frisbee appears*
*** Marilisa laughs.
< cw-dig > See, I told you so!

PSA: Next Wednesday will be the Welcome Home Chaos! party, by permission from [livejournal.com profile] flower_cat.

So I haven't moved yet, but in process of getting my stuff out of the garage/attic, and needed some of the huge blue Rubbermaid boxes.

  • Game books: I came across a treasure trove of ancient game books that I am no longer using/have no room for/wish to sell. They won't fit in the back of the Prius. I should've thought of this selling them off bit a while ago. I know [livejournal.com profile] flower_cat has granted permission previously to sell off her 2nd Ed D&D stuff, since she doesn't play anymore. I have a pile of books from GH's move too that I haven't touched either. The idea of a garage sale had occurred to me a few times, but recently have been too busy trying to find a job to keep me in the bay and getting ready for the move itself, so it never happened. If you have an interest in coming to visit and take a look/obtain a book, drop me a comment. I will be happy to respond to it. Please bear in mind I don't know how much some of the older stuff (Gary Gygax & D&D stuff) goes for these days...according to an approximation I got from Emmy's boyfriend, the GG stuff sold as a package might bring in some $1000+, which Mom wants the profits from. Damn. So much for me using it to cover rent....

  • My plushie collection: Got lots of these, and most of them I don't know why they're here. I was young & collected them, because every child has to have a hobby of some sort. Mine was collecting plushies. Rrf. So many...no idea what to do with them now.

  • Blankets: Wolves. Awooo! I'll be needing these later, and will not try putting them into one of the cardboard boxes. I love these comforters. All because Mom found them in a WWF gift idea thing for Xmas. I have 2 sets, one for here @ Starport, and 1 for the move. When the box is needed. And a wolf fleece and a penguin fleece. Squee! So happy.

  • Costume stuff: a small metal flask I bought @ Dickens' Faire several years ago. SCA belts made of leather that are older than me.

  • Badges: Con badges from conventions I went to. 9 of mine, 2 of [livejournal.com profile] selkit's. So far.

  • Frisbees: I didn't think Respawn happened outside of WoW and Mountain Mike's Pizza fliers. Apparently, frisbees do too. I found 4 5.

  • Socks: Gizmo ate all my pairs, except for my 2 good pairs of thermal knit. So...I now have few socks. Sandles in the summer time. Unless it's required I wear shoes with socks.

  • A wolf bath rug w/ anti-skid backing. Bathmat thingie with wolves! Pretty!

  • LotR: Tarot deck. Forgot I had it.
Interesting.

Is this the "Welcome to Seattle" party or the "Welcome to Starport" party? Confused and enquiring minds want to know!

if you end up parceling out the AD&D stuff, theres some stuff I would be interested in, selling a lot that large might be rough, unless you went to somebody like Noble Knight

Sounds like the only stuff we might be interested in is the stuff you wish to keep. Well, it's easier this way.

stuff you found
