First Day of School
Apr. 8th, 2008 08:36 amDay 1 of school happened.
Got to school. Went to my first class: Guidance 112. This is a math skill building thing for the Math 112 class. I didn't see any for 114, and I did have problems with 112 last quarter. We got out 30 minutes early, because we're not expected to have our books until Thursday. After class, I walked over to the book store and bought my books. No fun with that, because I was judging time by the line to get out. Distorted my time sense so badly that I thought I was late for class. I wasn't, and walked into the right room but the one that is right before mine. Oops. I walked out with my tail between my legs, then went back to the table to do some socializing. Managed to get a few words in with the group, and then went back off to class; getting into the right one this time with a Ukranian professor with a thick accent. I really didn't care much for the square drawings in order to prove the Pythagrean theory, but watched anyway. A student asked for the meaning of "every other even" and the professor launched into writing 1,3,5,7, etc. and I corrected him by telling him "Those are odd numbers." He laughed about it for a few moments, then realized his mistake. I finished class, went back to the table and was doing math homework when a friend came up to me for lunch. I enjoyed her company, then she mentioned her mom was in the market for a website. I talked to her mother for a few minutes, getting the basic idea.
After school, I came home about 4:30 and did the homework for my guidance class. I waited until about 5ish before calling her mom to get the rest of the information. I may have my first webpage building contract by the end of this week. Yay!
Namaste.
