As promised to cflute: Here is a pic of myself and my mate showing off our rings and this is a closeup of the rings themselves. Mine is sterling silver with malkasite and rubies, his is sterling silver also with malkasite and jade.

Malachite would be the correct spelling. Unless of course it's marcasite, but seeing as that's what is more commonly known as fools gold I'm pretty sure it's the former. See, all those years of geeky rock collecting came in handy after all.

They're lovely rings. A little chunky for my personal taste, but I'm sure they suit the wearers.
