Results --- Interview with DNC
Jul. 25th, 2006 12:22 amBefore I go into specifics, a big thank you goes to
roaringmouse and the household of Mousehold Heath for providing me with lodgings.
Now, on to the results of the job interview. I had an interesting outing with
misdev and
flower_cat to San Fransisco. I was dressed in a nice button-down shirt, black jeans, and
mdlbear's tevas, heading for my interview @ 1500 with the Democratic National Committee. We did our introductions: name, what we were up to recently, and what angers us most about the Bush Administration. There were 5 others in this group, and the conversation was heated, fired up with Anti-Bush comments and scathing bush-bashing tongues. We discussed the administration's many flaws, and our job descriptions. I'm going to be one of those folks that asks you about your views on the Bush Campaign, and give you a reason to join/support the DNC.
The GOOD news is that minimum pay will be based on a quota thingie that states "quota met = $325. Exceeded = up to a 35% incentive pay increase, paid every 2 weeks."
The BAD news is that I'm going to have only my weekends free, so you want to talk to me in advance about hanging out on my "days off" when I'm back in San Jose.
Schedule seems pretty straight-forward: 9-5 job M-F. F after work I get on the train and come home, then leave again to SF on Sunday night to go back to work on Monday. The job is going to be through elections in November, and possibly a few weeks after that.
Thought you'd want to know.

Date: 2006-07-28 02:29 pm (UTC)I'm glad that you got the job!
Keep a few things in mind:
1. Bush isn't running in 2006.
2. He's not running in 2008, either.
3. John Kerry showed that it's not enough just to be anti-Bush.
The DNC will tell you more. Which campaign (or campaigns) will you work with?
