OK. Just so you all are aware, yes. I am still dating Anne. I can attempt to live with the fact that I don't see her often. And no, she didn't let me get drunk since she turned 22.

As for my evil iconage plots: I am still working on icons for Chronicles of Narnia. I will post the finished ones probably in Scrapbook, the LJ pic gallery thingimagigie. And I have started downloading a few other movie caps also, feel free to request and I'll see what I can do.

As for my sleep pattern: Since my body is rejecting my insomnia medication, and I haven't been able to get sleep (though not through lack of trying) I did have several points where I did stare up at the cieling and be bored. So I got rest, but not sleep. And I feel fine!

This is your Auntie Mouse, here. One, check the side of effects of your other drugs...if one of the side effects is insominia... another drug for insominia will NOT work. Unc' Craig was told by Stanford Sleep Research to try B12 6000 mgs. NOT the time release. According to the Harvard Medical Journal,,, B12 helps. Also.. Don't eat or drink anything caffeinated after 8:00pm.. Try also taking a warm bath (not shower) in lavendar or chamomile(sic)soap.. You can also try Celestial Seasons, Sleepytime Tea but be careful Celestial Seasons has changed the formula and has added valerian and licorice.. Craig uses instead Bigelow's Sweet Dreams tea. It does work. Doctors are now looking that even though you are not asleep, by lying down, you are relaxing and regenerating yourself. Oh, if the insominia med is Ambian... Be very careful about driving. I would google for more information of sleep problems.

Mrf... I need to make you a big warm self-heating grayfox plushie to coil up next to. Who knows if it'll help, but it'll be damn cute. ;)

You might want a TMI filter on this now....

Darling, been there/done that/wrote the Cliff Notes.

I was suffering from Insomnia in HS (~3 hours of sleep/rest) for about 6 months before they put me on Prozac which only made it worse.

Weird-ass solution? My Dr. suggested that I try masturbating to put me to sleep. It helps when I am so wired that I want to go into a cleaning rage and it wouldn't be advisable.

I have a ridiculous inability to sleep, too. Commiseration.

It helps [doesn't cure; but helps] to limit caffeine consumption;
to not try sleeping unless I think I can nod off within an hour [why waste the time/need to be more tired/can do okay on limited hours of sleep a few days a week];
and it really helps to have noise softly playing [using a pillow speaker to not inflict it on my partner]: talk radio [kgo] or CDs - and sometimes that soothes my brain to the lovely land of sleep;
plus a sleep mask helps to keep varying light levels from waking me up [a car driving by with headlights on can wake me from the light change].

Good luck!
