first layoff I heard about....

Remember some time ago when I said that 11 teachers @ school were being laid off? I didn't know which teachers. I still don't know the other 10. I just found out today that Ms. Hobbs, (the chick with the bad techno and teacher of my digital photography class) was one of the 11 who got laid off. She asked us to write to the San Jose Mercury News on her behalf, protesting the lay off. She mentioned something about not having her teaching credential and being in vocational school for computer sciences/digital photography. She's got a master's in science/psychology, but I don't know if that's enough to keep her here. I'm gonna have to get back to you on this one....the good news is no more bad techno tomorrow. (Yay! I'm free!)

2 days until Sr Prom, 17 days until BayCon. I lost track of that third number....oh well. I'll just recount it when I get home. As for today, pictures of me in the tux will be taken tonight and linked to in an LJ update tonight. I have to model for my charming date and my parents.
