We all would rather Saddam Hussain took his sons & sorry asses out of Iraq. Unfortunatly, Saddamn has his head so far up his ass that he's begging for the war. It's said that the morale of his troops is so bad that they've taken to sewing white fabric in their uniforms so they'd always have a white flag on them. It's not terribly suprising that we're going to war, but President Bush refused to give the UN more time.
Is it true that the whole point of building the United Nations in the first place was to put a stop to global disputes? I find it most disturbing that since the United States has the most power and it was our idea to form the UN anyway that we are now not complying with the rest of the Security Council's wishes. If we would only comply, then we wouldn't have this problem. But it seems that the president is more concerned with mass murdering several Iraqui civilians and Goddess knows how many soldiers must die for our country. Not something I want to think about, but it's the topic of choice today at school & on the news.
I did a little bit of checking around, and considering the state of our current economy and budget cuts, etc.....8 teachers in my school district (and in my school, even) are getting laid off. I don't know who they are yet, but when/if I find out, I will post the names. We're having problems trying to maintain all the teacher's positions due to the damned budget cuts by Davis.
I say that in his (Davis's) political campaign, he lied. He said he was going to put more money into education in our state, didn't he? Yes he did. Look what he's done now. Cut the educational spending by $8.3 billion and using it to release potential murderers and other criminals, putting them back on the streets where they could do more damage than they've already done.
We now see that Davis doesn't seem to care if California state's test scores for standardized tests suddenly become the lowest in the nation. It seems he doesn't give a damn when it comes to California's education. Every Californian is entitled to a good, free public education, right? Gov. Davis doesn't seem to think so anymore. If he had kids (and he might for all I know) why isn't he thinking about their education first, before he thinks about the prison system? I want our prison system to not have more money invested into it, because it will just screw everything up and corrupt the governor's mind with thoughts that don't help the educational system of the nation.
Did I forget to mention that now we're dropping bombs on Iraq and it's a combination of both Saddam & Bush that we're having this problem? I don't understand why Mr. President feels it's right that we're the only people in the world to use nuclear weapons. I feel that the president is trying to make this a bigger deal than it really is. He's been flinging bull around for 2 months saying "if you don't disarm, we'll disarm you ourselves". Why in bloody hell wasn't this job done right 12 years ago!?!? I say we just go in, finish the job, then get the fuck out and not bother bombing the country. It'd make life a little bit easier, wouldn't it?
