Another day in the life

Reporting on more of the exciting life of Chaoswolf. Exciting....is that even the right word? mdlbear left for his confrence this morning, I had a long & complicated process with the credit union and such. Doctor's appointment went well, all things considered. Suspects I may be a moderate depressive, wants me to call the psychiatry department to get an evaluation/screening and gave me a medication to experiment with. I let him know in 2 weeks how I'm doing and potentially arrange a followup appointment. Went to lunch @ Black Angus and the waiter we got was a varsity football player from my former high school who apparently remembered who I was after 2 years. Lunch was tasty.....

So... you are now experimenting with psychactive drugs, with the doctor's permission? Nice work if you can get it!

May I inquire as to the drug? I've tried a LOT of SSRIs and may be able to offer thoughts...

Keep an eye on yourself and how things shift -- and make sure people around you alert you to changes too. Things can change very quickly, and not always for the better. Let your doctor know ASAP if unusually strong suicidal impulses come up.

Also, while on psych meds, don't do substances. Alcohol is okay in small amounts, but absolutely don't do anything harder than pot. The combination makes for BAD trips.

Prozac.

I will definatly let my friends know I'm taking it, and to keep their eyes peeled for wierd stuff.

Substances = bad. Wouldn't touch them with a 10' pole, with the exception of my annual glass of Vampire on Halloween.

Non-fan friend of ours found that a quarter pill a day was enough for her to get the anti-depressant effect she needed without the side-effects she hated. YMMV, of course.

Auntie Mouse, here.. I have been taking this drug for the past four years. My doctor read in the Harvard Medical journal that taking prozac two weeks at a time because of pre-menopause.. Well, I am, I will be.. I just want to give you a "heads" up... If you forget to take it say for at least three days,, you will get a migraine... I did this once because I forgot to order and pick up my script. Bad Mouse no biscuit.

Last time I went to Black Angus, the food was tasty but the muzak was all Red States crap (loosely filable under "Alternative Country") about rallying around the Emperor George and how tragic it is that they're kicking G-d out of the schools. Almost lost an otherwise nice lunch.
