I did not want to be on the jury. I really don't want to be on the jury. Especially not if it's a criminal case....I don't like people who possess meth. I really don't like it.....

And I'm free. I've been dismissed by virtue that I'm a rebellious little brat and disagree with authority. And a lot of the statutes of CA I disagree with and argue amongst my friends.....so I'm free!

Different note: making pickles today. I am going to be a bit "sour" until they are done....hehehe.

I agree with gridlore. Being on jury duty is a privilege. I got yelled at by a judge because of my job. Many people in SF are citizens; but can't understand or speak of word of English. The Judge asked me why... I said because Congress said so...

Criminal: as distinct from civil, this is when the state accuses a person of an unlawful act, which is punished as a crime against everyone, not just the victim(s).

Capital: an infamous crime punishable by death. Only a select few crimes are punishable by death in California, the most famous including murder with special circumstances (torture, lying in wait, etc.) and aggravated assault on a corrections officer by a life inmate.

Three Strikes: a state constitutional amendment that asserts than any person convicted of any three felony crimes must be punished by life in prison. Note however that there is no requirement that any of the crimes have to be violent; that many drug crimes are felonies; and that petty theft after the first conviction is a felony.

You are given a Q&A or in technical terms Voi Deir (sic).. both attorneys will ask your opinion about Capital Punishment... You tell the truth. Besides, it is very rare to serve a criminal jury compared to a civil court.
