Drama Strikes Again

At the Starport. Raymond the elder walks in. He has problems with his mother, which I can't say suprised me. Somehow, the subject of his son Raymond and Fiancee Shannon came up. This is where I got worried.

Shannon is a dear friend of mine from the 8th grade. We were room mates on the Washington DC trip. I had a momentary vision back then about a scenario very similar (if not this exact one) and I warned her about it. Bear in mind this was 7 years ago when I did this. I am now 20, and I think she is 21....my ex (her fiancee who is the son of the elder Raymond) is 22, and still as dense as he was the day I told him I was gay.

The problem is that he slept with this other woman (who he claims he hasn't got pregnant) and hasn't told Shannon; threatening bodily harm to the one who tells her. He's expecting to get married to her, without having her know about any of this. After the wedding, he's probably going to stop talking to his father, stop talking to me, my parents, and cutting off all connections.

When this problem comes back to bite him in the ass in a few weeks (I am sensing it'll be a few weeks, I can't be sure), Shannon will do something nasty to him. I admit, I've been hitting on Shannon when she initially started dating Raymond and was comming over here. I admit I had a crush and was trying to save her from this very fate that I sensed in the 8th grade. If I am right....1st person she might call is me. My cell number and home number haven't changed.....

And let me tell you: when it comes to my friends getting their lives fucked up by people I know, I don't get mad. I let Karma sort it out.

I think you meant for that to be a cut tag. The syntax is:

S2 is fucked up. I can't figure out how to make the tags work.

I don't think "tags" means what you think it does -- they're not HTML tags (which are exactly the same in S1 and S2), but keywords you can associate with certain categories of entries to, um, "tag" them.

So you might have tags called "starport", "gaming", "rant", and have all three on one entry if you want.

I got bits of the story two weeks ago, without any idea who the people involved were....

There's a limit to how far you can unfuck people's lives for them. Sometimes the ONLY thing you can do, even for a dear friend, is lend a hand with picking up the pieces and rebuilding. It stinks and it hurts, but it's Life.

Karma is an entity whose attentions are best left unprovoked....

From what his father told us at BayCon, Young Raymond has really "screwed the pooch".. What ever he did, Karma has even begun to deal with him.
