I still think that shadowwolf171 and myself should invest in a cell phone plan so we can contact each other. We did a bit of looking around, and managed to find some things that weren't really up to par. The pay as you go plans suck, and I'm thinking a Cingular plan of some sort. Dad disagrees, but if the Mobile to Mobile includes former AT&T customers, we might be able to pull it off. Then we have a game thing to attend @ Uncle Phil's, and our werewolf game to resume. Yippee.....

EDIT: Mabey even better, mdlbear...for an extra $5/mo, you could put free MtM calling on our plan and we can all talk for free! (Just a thought, I would personally like it. If this won't work though, I could get my own plan.)

Cingular's MtM does in fact include all former AT&T members.

Er? Most plans come default with Mobile-to-Mobile...?
Even the cheapest of plans...?
Or did something change such that you got your plan way back when? O.o

All but the cheapest Cingular plans appear to come with unlimited MtM. Ours, however, is from AT&T before the merger; it's still not at all clear whether we can simply add MtM for a reasonable price without affecting other aspects of the contract.

Switching over to Cingular officially requires a small processing fee and all that crap but it comes with a new phone...

Not too sure as the full details since I didn't pursue it much as my family seems to be fine with what we have currently....

It sounds like shadowwolf171 should invest in a cell phone; we already have one. Assuming that he's on Cingular and we can add MtM to our plan, that's all we'd need. I'd be willing to spring for the extra $5/month if that's all it would take. Get details from you when you get home.

We've looked at that, and the only way to do it is to remove the corporate discount, switch the contract to Cingular (and renewing it at the same time), then replacing your corporate discount. It'll cost more to do, but in the long run I think it'll be worth it.
