I am not sure if mdlbear posted about this, as I didn't see it in his LJ. flower_cat goes in for surgery in 2 weeks, the Tues after Mother's Day. That means I'm gonna be cooking part of the time, handling Wednesday and so on.

Actually, I hadn't posted anything about it yet. And you're not the only one who gets to cook, etc. -- we'll all take turns.

And the "2 weeks" is only approximate so far.

Not sure if you knew. Mom lost a little over 200+ pounds, and her hernia is now noticable. Dad probably knows more than I do, but you can either send Mom an email or call the house & talk to her yourself. I know Mom has more information than I do.

I didn't know she had a hernia. ^_^;; But okay. Is she actively trying to lose weight, then?

Yes.

More like the hernia has been interfering with her digestion, and there have been times when she either has diarhoea or has trouble keeping anything down. So she ends up eating tiny portions, and loses weight. If it keeps up after the operation we'll get worried.

She is doing fine, I think. Scared out of her mind, but fine.
