I probably said this in my last post, but I hate my life. I get home from school and she goes upstairs after telling me that she has make up work to do for her math class. I would rather she got it done when we got home, but no. She goes upstairs to watch TV & play on her gameboy. Then she throws a tantrum about eating her steak, and I tell her to eat her dinner. She continues to be difficult, and I did say "No sushi or gaming if the meat isn't eaten." [livejournal.com profile] mdlbear snaps at me for stepping out of line and telling her that there isn't going to be sushi for her tomorrow....it was my belt test and my A that got us sushi tomorrow. I believe I should have a say in this. Dad still doesn't listen, and I go up to my room cursing like a drunk sailor and slamming my fist into the door, bitching at them (my parents) for not listening. Now I hear them yelling at Emmy as I write this, and frankly I don't give a fucking damn now.

They can keep yelling at her, I've said my 2 bits worth and am now out of their wrath, still cursing them for not heeding my suggestion of grounding her. I will stay up here and shut up...........................

Well, we finally did get her to bring her math down and finish it. Threatening to ground her works, sort of, sometimes, if done carefully; actually carrying out the threat usually doesn't work, because then you lose your leverage. (We found this out with you, by the way.)

I think it was the threat of taking the TV and VCR away that did it. Or maybe she just turned her brain back on.
