Political Funnies

Okay. This was the greatest sitcom on TV tonight. Not kidding. I was amused by so many things he [Bush] said, it was almost hard to keep myself from laughing.

This was a long, hard topic of Domestic Policy for both of them. One [Kerry] proposed he would educate our children & give them funding for schools and so on. The other [Bush] stated that it was part of the No Child Left Behind Act and that our children were being educated & had money. I can make a point here: take a good look at our education system. How many people do we know that have just graduated High School & have joined the Armed Forces of the country so they can gain the greenbacks to go to college? Another thing: how do you expect us to pay for schooling if you keep raising the damned tuition?!? Honestly, I don't see the logic. "Give the states money so we can hurt you financially." Yeah. That's the way I see this.

Sure. The canidates agreed on one thing at least: Marriage is commonly defined as a union between a man & a woman. One [K] said that same sex couples should be able to visit each other in hospital visits & so on. The other [B] said that he also agreed on the traditional definition of marriage, but commented that allowing gays to marry would hurt the economy. Yeah right! I mean, I am gay, though I flirt with people upon occasion. I know at least 2 people who have been married in SF by Mayor Gavin Newsom himself, and the licenses in my eyes were valid. I don't understand why the Supreme Court ruled this as unconstitutional. I don't get it. I mean, one of the nation's documents states that we are entitled to life, liberty & the persuit of happiness. If we happen to find that happiness with another person of the same gender, why the fucking hell aren't we allowed to marry them? I don't fucking get it!!!!

This has 2 fronts that I will touch on. Rights to abortion and minimum wage for women. I approve of the Women's Choice bit because I believe that if a pregnant woman has medical issues in her genetic background that might complicate things for the child, such as AIDS or having the child could be life threatening to the mother, I believe she has the right to an abortion no matter what term it's in. Yes, I admit that having late term abortions is a bad thing, but I am willing to accept whatever consequence becomes of that verdict. Secondly, women still get paid less than men. I don't care what age category or job women hold, you can even look at the tech industry & see that males are making more money than females. Kerry said that women would make an additional $3k or so a year if we didn't discriminate so heavily against the females of our nation. I think he's right.

So, how many people do you know of that have hired workers illegally? I mean, I am pretty sure that you know of a lot. I know that Kerry said "we will make better use of our reservists & National Guard if we having them protect the borders of the country" but I also know that granting amnesty to illegal aliens isn't an option. No matter what planet you're on.

If they truly meant "We are a peaceful country," they would pull our troops out of all foreign countries and we wouldn't get our boys & girls into this mess. I'm sorry. I thought about joining a few times, but that's only because of the cammo. I don't like the idea of getting shot at. I really don't.

Ok. I'm done. Still funny sitcom.

BLIIIIINNNNKKKKKK!!!!!!!!
