I'm getting a feeling that everything is starting to fall apart and the only thing I'm left with is a pair of boot laces that aren't long enough to pull myself out of this hole.

I've been told by [identity profile] selkit.livejournal.com to investigate options for continued education. I've been doing this, and every time I attempt to make an informative effort to one of my room mates, she blasts it out of the sky and keeps pushing me toward Lake Washington Tech. I'm investigating my options, damnit! Stop rushing me! Gah!

Then there's this whole job debacle, that I'm still trying to find one. I have a few things in mind for specific positions I'm looking at that require further education. This is another reason why I'm considering my options before I make a final decision: and let me reiterate that it is my decision, damnit! Ahem. Looking into other things that require the food handler's permit that I still have to obtain, looking into other networking options to try resurrecting things, trying to deal with everything and anything that decides it's going to throw itself at me.

Also, please remember that I am a social creature. If you have to get my attention, calling me or dropping an IM/Email works better than sending me a "Hey, you need to read my blog" comment because I won't remember. I'll read posts as I can, and my responses will be sporadic.

LWT would be ok if all you wanted was a couple of certificates; to maximize your employability, get a BA from UW or another well-known and well-respected school.

Your roommates are not trustworthy on this subject.

No, but Selkit is. Don't know the price of tuition for WA residents at UW, but it's less than a private college would be by a long shot.

BAS? Not familiar with the mnemonic. You'll be better off with a 4-year liberal arts education. Really.

It gets you in the door, and does so more effectively than a tech-school degree. BA or BS. They prove to the employer that you can do work that requires thinking. Something from a tech school just proves that you can pass tests on things that are going to be obsolete in two years, if they aren't already.
