Chaoswolf: The Gypsy Years [Update and Planning]

Here goes. What you should know:

• I know I've been promising pics of my apartment. I haven't done this yet because of a few reasons. I'm lazy, been stressing out over the job hunt/trying too hard to find one, and have run out of camera battery to take updated photos of the after-furniture apartment.
• I'm trying to keep food in the fridge, and keep everything together. Namely my sanity. Hasn't worked as well as I'd hoped, for a few reasons.
• I'm still alive. This is important to know, because people may want to find me later. I haven't been posting often, but you who read this need to remember I am not avoiding you; I'm trying to find a job, which takes priority over the blog.
• Contact: If you want to talk to me, by all means go ahead. My information is available here, and if you want to email me feel free. I don't bite. I welcome contact right now, otherwise I will burn out with these boring days of fruitless job searching.

Planning: These are what I'm doing for now, to tide myself over.

• Looking for a job: still doing this. Despite how much I hate it and how non-productive it's been so far, I'm still looking. It has to lead somewhere eventually. Preferably before my funds run out.
• Drive: This is something I am working on. Won't be happening this weekend because M is busy and D is going camping. This will happen later, and is something I am doing on an infrequent basis but will be getting better at.
• Make chain mail: this is also something I am actively working on. warpmind's dice bag is still in the works and I'll be working on it a lot more over the next 3 days. Won't be able to afford much else in the meantime, but am working on this as it's something.

I want to do these things, and I list reasons why I won't be doing them.

• Go to cons: Here's my new rule until otherwise noted --- if someone is going who wouldn't mind getting me to it, giving me some space on the floor of their room, and getting a membership for me, I won't have a problem. Unless affordability improves for me, timing works, or some other miracle of getting me there, I can't go to any cons. Apologies to those who wanted me to go to something.
• Get a car: again, see $ woes. Not happening.
• Find job: thank you to jefferycornish for posting that link, though the commute from my apartment to UoW is a bit far and I can't easily commit to it without a car.
• Get to a filk event up here: due to Emerald City Filk Society not updating their website with anything that I know of (and I look regularly), I'm not going anywhere. My apartment is a bit too small to host anything in.

Earlier I mentioned (among other things) Worksource, provided by the Washington State ESD.

Did you ever look into them? They provide free classes & 1:1 help on how to write effective resumes, be successful at job interviews, and so forth.

Otherwise, you know that old saying about the definition of insanity -- doing the same thing again and again while expecting a different result!
