Too little. Proclamations are cheap. Now, ending the "don't ask, don't tell" stupidity? That would show commitment to equality.

If he wants to impress me he can keep his campaign promise and allow gays in the military. Over 70 have been discharged sense he has been in office. And he just lost a great chance to do it in his speech.

June has always unofficially been LGBT Pride month to me cause a lot of the Pride celebrations are held then. Not just in California either. A friend of mine in New York says his weekends are pretty full this month cause of all the Pride celebrations there that he wants to attend. I do hope he keeps his promise about gays in the military but I see this as progress.
