Apologies to all those I missed this year due to financial troubles, recent moving, etc. I am sorry I couldn't make the con. I want to see my parents again. I want to see my CA friends again. I wanted to see Tempest again. Wanted an excuse to Boff again. Couldn't do.

Want to get there next year though, as flower_cat and mdlbear are Fan GOH, apparently. filkertom's song Be Our GOH is running through my head now, and probably will until I hear the reason how it happened.

Anyways, erm....life is moving in a semi positive direction with selkit. If I'm allowed to disclose later, I will --- but for now you get the nutshell: his life seems to be having a positive effect from something he got contacted about and may be able to move down here soon.

My life is still jobless, sadly. I'm sitting on my tail waiting for material for warpmind's dice bag or job application calls. Nothing as of yet, and I feel really bored. Going to help screaming_angel this weekend with moving stuff. Next weekend going out with a friend to do back-roads driving practice.

you really don't need to be apologetic about it. We've all been where it would be idiotic to spend the money, even though it's something we really want. It's not an insult to your friends, honest.

First thing Colleen or I heard about being fan guests was being asked on Friday whether we'd be willing. (Which part of "hell yes"...)

Ah. I thought you'd been sitting on it for a while, the way you were on the Filk Hall of Fame citation, and could only tell when it was announced. In some ways, it's sort of comforting to know you didn't know till a day or two before anyone else did.
