So, you know those nights where you're doing something interesting then get this phone call in the middle of the night? Well, it wasn't exactly midnight, but ....I was gaming with Emmy, something I know I shouldn't have been doing. Then I get this phone call about 10 after 0200, from Ginger. Asking if I had space for her to crash. Though she is a friend of mine and I didn't know what happened, I said yes. The downside to this is that after she got here, she starts carressing me & is drunk. I know this felt wrong, and I didn't really know what to do. I managed to finally talk my way out of it and go to sleep around 0300, Ginger on the floor next to my bed. She wanted me, badly. Her boyfriend broke up with her three weeks ago, and she thought I was still available. No, I'm not. I showed her pictures of my darling selkit and told her how much of a sweetie he is. Ginger still wants me, badly. She probably isn't going to show up here again for various reasons, the primary of which being that she's going to be graduating from De Anza this spring. Something's going to go wrong and I'm going to get caught in the crossfire. I somehow know this to be true.

• spray her with water, keep plant spritzer of water handy


• claim you have poison ivy or oak...how you fake the bumps is up to you


• let her sleep on the bed with you but anytime she tries anything shove her off; a good thud on the floor is educational

No, there wasn't a reason why she couldn't sleep in the sewing room. The cot wasn't set up, the air mattress wasn't inflated, and she really wanted to be around me for safety. I'm still not sure why.

Beware of needy people, especially ones that are dealing with breakups. You don't necessarily have to get caught in the crossfire, but you need to be very careful of where you step. So far, you sound like you've done well.
