I've always wanted to carve an ice sculpture. I never thought I'd be carving one in my kitchen sink using my Dad's ice pick. [livejournal.com profile] mdlbear, I found a small hand sized ice pick in your tool box. Here's how it happened.

[livejournal.com profile] flower_cat had asked me to make some iced tea. I called her to tell her that we were almost out of the English tea I had previously been making. So I used the tea she told me to. I didn't have problems up until that point. It was when I went to grab the ice out of the freezer. I put it into the pitcher and it didn't want to go into the pitcher. I thought it was broken into pieces.....went to [livejournal.com profile] mdlbear's room to see if I could remember where he put the hammer. I didn't find it, but instead found the hand sized ice pick and started carving at this statue of ice in the iced tea pot. Finally after 20 minutes, I condensed it into pieces of ice that were usable, put the lid on and started the pot of tea.

That was an adventure in of itself....
