In answer to the first question, I have no clue. In answer to the 2nd, it's my first day of classes. I was supposed to be on the bus by now, but I'm trying a new experiment with carpools today. Just to see if it'll work. Knowing [livejournal.com profile] squeeful's likeness for parking @ the Flint Center, that'll be perfect for my 0830 class which is Beginning Drawing in the A-quad. I have a deck of Magic cards today in case Mel or someone else wants to try & kill me, though I only have 10 minute breaks between all my classes from 0830-1540. It's a scheduling error on my part, but it was what I could get that'd work with my schedule. Speaking of which, does anyone need me to re-post it? If yes, I'll do so either tonight or tomorrow. If not, you know where it is in my LJ somewhere. Wish me luck.

Started out at 0530 this morning when my alarm went off. I got up to shut it off and lay back on my bed for 3 minutes. Got dressed. Went downstairs. Had a couple of sodas & went to play a computer game until [livejournal.com profile] squeeful was supposed to get me. Got off the computer about 0745 and went into the living room. Pacing. Called her phone as it got closer to 0800. She answered and had apparently missed a turn, so she'd be a few more minutes late. I grabbed my art stuff & my fencing stuff, walked outside. Met her on the curb & put my stuff in her car, introduced her to the [livejournal.com profile] mdlbear and went off. We decided that Thurs we're using the carpool lane.

Anyways, got to art class a bit late. Not much though. Discussion of the art kits came out, and I was the only person on the first day to have already picked mine up. I handed the professor my kit, she opened it and saw that everything except the ebony pencil & a certain type of eraser were not included in the kit itself. Also was told that I had to go buy a sketch book, preferably spiral bound. I hate spiral bindings, as they get caught on things or messed up easily, so I'm going to buy a hardbound book.

We got let out early, so I went to go get some lunch. Chille cheese fries don't seem to last long after fencing for some reason. Probably because they're cafeteria food...anyways...Next was fencing. Managed to come up with a cheater's way of getting the jacket on, unsnapping only some of the snaps & reapplying the wedgie strap or whatever it is that it's called. Turned a beginner into a pin cushion, had an interesting bout with Sam H.

Went out to strength development next, realizing that it's not a self paced course. Unfortunately for me, I have to wear sports gear, which would be something like a sports bra/tank top combination and a pair of probably spandex gym shorts. Neither of which I have...and it's right after fencing.

Unix is next, which is basically from 1330-1500. It says to 1540 on the schedule, but who cares? It's 40 minutes of time I could be saving by doing it at home anyway. It's interesting: I live in a Linux/Windows house, am a primary Windows user for games, and Unix user for breaking shit or editing website. And I was being a smartass in class & comming up with things to say about Linus Torvald when we were discussing Unix's creation, the open source software origin, and so on. Nifty, huh? Came up with 2 ways to tell you're a geek:
  • You know you're a geek when you name your puppy Lycos. "Lycos, go get it!"
  • You know you're a geek when you buy a puppy & name it Lucky. When you start petting your puppy, "You're feeling Lucky!" (Google)

After that madness, there is a break on Tues for me to come home and grab my guitar, swapping out my art/fencing stuff. Go back to school & sit through guitar class. He's funny, but also not the brightest bulb in the chandileer. Another thing about this prof: the way he strums & talks about chords sounds a lot like[livejournal.com profile] mdlbear, which is really scary. Ever hear of a prof (any of you other than who is in my class) by the name of Ron Dunn?

Then I come home after that hour of amusement/boredom. More on school routine to follow on Thurs & Fri.
