Goodiee......
Sep. 21st, 2004 08:18 pmClueless in Japanese class, as I didn't have the books to understand what they were talking about. Fixed the problem of getting the right books which entailed the following: standing in a 2.5 hour line to get down to the level with the notebooks & texts, navigating my way through a maze, meeting a classmate down there from my massage class who offered to tutor me in Japanese, grabbed a 4 subject notebook, and will be using it for classes this quarter. Picked up a small spiral bound standard notebook for usage as a pen/paper phone book. Nice list of shit to deal with today....
Had another near-blow incident with JTS walking into my presence.....I ignored him for a bit, then walked away. It was just annoying. I was trying to do my Japanese notes that I took in my sister's notebook & transfer them over to mine when he showed up. I did manage to get the homework done during Astronomy, which was spent listening to Professor Herrington introduced himself & announced the class roll call, adding 13 people & dropping the no-shows and calling this "the shortest meeting of our Astronomy class." Normally, it goes from 1530-1715 or something like that. I also heard from a friend of mine that there's an extra credit opportunity: the assignment is to write a paper on something you didn't cover in class & that pretains to Astronomy. I have a video tape entitled Battle For the Heaveans, which details the story of Gallileo & his evidence that the solar system is heliocentric. It's a very interesting tape, and I'm wondering if the prof will let me do a report on it.....
