Party on July 3rd
Jun. 28th, 2004 10:24 pmAs I'm sure many of you know, WesterCon is in AZ this year. No way in hell I'm going, as I have a combination of the following problems:
The reason why there is a party on July 3rd is very simple: It's cooler here, and I personally wish to hold a local (Non-WesterCon)party.
So, instead...(next paragraph unshamelessly swiped from
mdlbear's LJ:
"Since we're not going to Westercon this year (too far, too hot, not enough cash), the chaoswolf is celebrating her 19th birthday at home this year. See the Grand Central Starport web page for links to map and directions."
WesterCon rant: I know there are a lot of fannish people out there. I have learned that fannish people who go to WesterCon usually bring stuff. Sometimes food, sometimes CDs, gift certificates, or something else entirely. I know all of that. This is not always the case, however. If you are one of those people who is financially challenged, then a card or a happy birthday hug will suffice. If you can afford a nifty wizbang (one of the above-formentioned items), that's great. I'm not going to complain.
FYI: White-Wolf Games is stopping their line of gaming books so they can re-start the World of Darkness. Any Tribebooks (werewolf) that aren't Bone Gnawer, I'd appreciate. If someone can somehow find a used copy (or even better, a new copy ordered from the publisher) of the Silver Record, I'd be eternally grateful.
GBA SP is my friend also.
(I'm not dropping hints. Really.)
- No ride
- No membership
- No money
