Further Confusion: day 2
Jan. 24th, 2004 09:05 amThis was a typical day of a convention in the life of a staff member. Running around like a chicken with your head cut off and on roller blades w/ a rocket booster attatched to your back can be a very amusing experience if & only if you have nothing better to laugh at.
The morning started with me waking up around 0830, and opening up the ferret den at that time. We had a massive scramble for the ferrets, and I did everything I could to keep the ferrets flowing as smoothly as possible. This is affirmed I had sleep & was fed, but this does not answer the one question: why must hard-working ferrets be so hard to find? It seems that out of the 40 ferrets I had signed up, only I think 26 or so of them are actually doing something.
The Dr. Jane/Cynthia McQuillan concert was cool. There were several cat songs, followed by a few canine ones, plus 2 dinosaur sex songs. (This is bad because the teacher wants us to record our dreams for homework.)As a result of this assignment, I have (half intentionally) been trying to dodge sleep because I don't think Dr. Ramskov wishes to see a total of 5 different "TV screens" from my confusing mini series of random thoughts/games I've had going through my head recently. A student of the Freudian methods, he is very very firmly believing in subconsious minds & the other nifty wizbangs that go with it....Anyways, this is the usual stuff.
The Heather Alexander concert went well, even though about 60+ fans went to the DragonStorm game, since it was at the same time as the concert. As the concert rolled on, we were pumped with the adrenaline as March of Cambredth revertabrated through the hotel. The concert ended around 9pm, where in which case we ferrets were having a dead night, doing absolutely nothing until about 3something AM. A nightmare to clean the den, considering the location we were given, followed by a massive event confusion mixup.
