Good grief. The long awaited day 1.

mdlbear's livejournal this morning will no for a fact that he hates getting up at this ungodly hour of daylight known only as 0600. I wake up around 0530 and go back to sleep until 0630, when I get a somewhat rude awakening by my sister. I change and make it downstairs, grabbing everything I think I need for class.
We get to school. Okay, so nothing happened. I ran into a former schoolmate of mine from Class of '03 from Lincoln, which was, in my opinion, a good sign. I made 2 new friends in Astronomy and discovered that the teacher I have is intending to teach us about Galileo. This is a good thing and a particular favoraite of mine. Went off without a scratch. I discovered that the book was available used (no new copies) which is partially good because this way I can save money. I discovered also that the answer sheets he requires us to buy are expensive. (I got 3 because of 2 midterms and a final.)
During break, I met up with my ex boyfriend from before I came out of the closet to my parents. Talked w/ him for quite a while, then went off to study my book. Calledflower_cat to rave about my new book for Astronomy. She was enthusiastic about it, and thought that I would have fun. jilara told me I'd have fun, and I didn't believe it originally. I want everyone to now know, that I apologize for not believing her words or anyone else's.
Anyhow...I met up with a few friends in the Fireside Dining room, meeting 12 new people in 1 day. This is a major improvement, because I didn't even make that many friends in HS on the first day.
As for what else I did today, I talked with my friendtoddashi and got the ICQ/Yahoo info for thechick and the two of us set up a lunch date for tomorrow. This means...well....I will have a busy day tomorrow. 3 classes and not enough time to hang. That's fine: I improvise. I'm good at it.
