Well, that's my LJ addiction. Not as addicted to LJ as gridlore, but addicted enough that this is one of the few ways to keep track of certain people.

Computer rant: Well, I didn't know that the firewall server was being bitchy. It was the one in the middle. I didn't know that shutting it off via the power switch was a bad idea....was there an alternative switch I should've used? Damned if I knew. Naturally, it was a computer problem, so I called mdlbear and asked him to help me fix it.

Kitchen rant: Thinking that making boxed foods for oven lunch isn't that difficult, I took some chicken tenders out of the oven. Went to grab a plate, forgot that the pan just came out of the oven and wound up feeling the hot pan along my finger. I tried to ice it (using a jar of frozen peas), then Mayhem looked at me and told me to run it under cold water. I hate cold water.

SCA enticing rant: Well, Emmy still won't go to the SCA. I tried telling her that a page was the SCA equivalent of a con gopher, but she ignored me and asked me this same question long after I gave her the answer. Small little details that can be easily overlooked, but large enough that if they need repeating it means you have wax in your ears.
