Good news & Bad news

Good news:

• got promoted to Yellow belt
• Got my guitar ordered

Bad news:

• My CD/DVD drive isn't working
• My Guitar isn't here yet

Fucking hell. All I did was detattch the drive so I could clean it. Now it's not working.......and I'm pissed off..............

When you clean electronics, you aren't supposed to submerse them in water.

Hopefully, when you pulled the drive, your machine was TURNED OFF. Not just sleeping with the lid closed. If it wasn't, try a power off/on cycle.

Otherwise turn the machine off again, pull the drive, and inspect the connector for damage. Then re-insert it and make sure it's completely and correctly seated, not sticking out a little.

Did you give the drive a snack? I mean sure it got cleaned and all, but it also needs tender loving. Pet it a little. Talk to it. Play it some Bach. Show it the affection it needs so it can feel comfortable performing well for you.
